CFM Success Stories

Tesha’s Story: “In high school, I was always petite and had a tight little body.  After marriage, two kids, and a stressful career, I started letting myself go.  I never liked working out.  Going for evening walks with friends was the extent of my exercise regimen.  When I started getting close to my 39th birthday, I decided that in my 5’3” frame, 147 lbs was NOT where I wanted to be.  My clothes were tight, I felt tired all the time, my back hurt constantly, so I decided it was time for a change.

Some family friends were doing Crossfit, and kept saying it was addicting.  I thought to myself, “How can going to the gym be addicting?”  I just didn’t get it.  A friend of mine said that she was going to a free welcome session at Crossfit Maricopa, so I decided to join her.  That was the most intense workout I’d ever had, and I haven’t quit!  When my friends said it was addicting, they weren’t kidding!  Not only have I become part of an amazing “family”, but I’ve adopted a great lifestyle with fitness and healthy eating.

I am 20 pounds lighter, significantly stronger, and couldn’t be happier.  My husband reminded me the other day that right before I started Crossfit, I had mentioned to him that I had a fitness goal of wearing a bikini for the first time in 15 years.  He challenged me and said I would never do it. On Mother’s Day, 7 months after starting my Crossfit journey, I wore a bikini and felt great!  Thank you, CFM, you have changed my life, and I am eternally greatful.!”
