Today’s edition is inspired by our friend Tracy Carey from Be Active Fitness (you can check her site out here). She posted this awesome recipe for Cilantro Lime Crockpot Chicken and we had to try it! Pretty sure this will become a staple based on the ease of prep & that we can use it on salads, lettuce wraps, or as a standalone meal. Try it out & let us know what you think!

easterCrossFit Maricopa has donated a 1 month Unlimited CrossFit Membership to the Tortosa Easter Eggstravaganza silent auction to benefit the Be Awesome Youth Coalition!

The Be Awesome Youth Coalition is a Maricopa organization working hard to educate Maricopa families and teens on the extreme risks of substance abuse. They host informational sessions, fun events for local youth, and have created programs within the schools to reach out to those in need, such as children living in single parent homes.

What’s Cooking Wednesday

I love to cook. Baking is science while cooking is art. The first time you try a recipe, follow it to the letter. Each subsequent attempt at the same recipe, mess with it a little to make it your own.

The following is one of my favorite crockpot recipes from Nom Nom Paleo. I used the dried mushrooms at first but it does just fine with fresh only. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

I get it, you’re busy. That’s precisely why you need to take complexity out of the kitchen. A few quality ingredients and a basic recipe can take you a long way. My go to for our busiest days is Pot Roast. The link to this recipe calls for the oven but is just as easily done in the crock pot. Try it. Super easy, crowd pleaser, easy cleanup.

I joined CFM last May when the ladies class started . I was finally starting to feel better after injuring my back , for me it seemed like a great place to start . A gentle work- out, or so I thought .. a short time later I changed my membership to include crossfit .
The past 11 months of my life have been life changing . I am not only stronger physically but mentally. I spend every day surrounded by some of the most amazing people I have ever met band have also have formed some of the greatest friendships someone could ask for . For that I am forever grateful !
